5 Food Makes You Sleepy In Office Time

Starting from 10 am to 1 pm we will work very energetically without any hesitation in the Office. Soon our stomach feels hungry at noon. After eating a good meal we will start working again.

Everybody might notice that when we start working, our eyelids began to loosen up. why do i feel sleepy after eating? that’s the question strikes our mind.

Do you really think that you have eaten too much? No its does not matters how much you eat, only depends on what you eat for the lunch break

In this post, we will see which food makes you sleepy in the office time after lunch break.

White rice:

Yet people with regular metabolism can feel sleepy after eating an average amount of rice.

This is simply because digestion of starch induces tryptophan production which arouses the production of serotonin – which is what makes one sleepy

Sweet potatoes:

“Potatoes, which have a moderately high glycemic index, create a precisely timed “hit” of insulin to escort serotonin- and sleep-inducing tryptophan into the brain.

But because potatoes are so satisfying compared with other high-carbohydrate foods, they are not likely to trigger carbohydrate cravings

Bananas:

According to research, bananas are said to help you fall asleep faster and even longer. This is due to their high level of magnesium, potassium, vitamin B6, and an amino acid called tryptophan.

Magnesium and potassium work together harmoniously by both regulating hormones as well as relaxing muscles.

Tryptophan is used in your body to produce the hormones melatonin and serotonin, which are necessary to regulate different bodily functions such as mood to sleep and circadian rhythm.

Dhaal:

Pulses being good sources of proteins, and proteins have hunger satiating properties, i.e. it will keep your stomach full for longer.

Further, proteins are slower digesting as compared to carbs. Adding excess of dhaal in lunch menu makes you dizzy.

So, best is to eat pulses and have a gap of a minimum of 2 hours before you lay down to sleep. In fact, this is true even for any kind of food.

Mango:

They provide loads of vitamins, minerals, bioflavonoids, fibre. They contain high B-vitamins especially, B6 which might be the reason we feel sleepy after eating mangoes.

B6 is responsible for the synthesis of serotonin and dopamine which are feel-good neurotransmitters and promotes sleep with other things.

Fructose and sucrose in mangoes will induce brain and make you feel doze. So it is not advisable to taste mango in office lunch break.
